Autumn Cooper Test for National Sports Day - Bytom again shows sporting spirit

A unique intergenerational celebration of activity is behind us! Thanks to the cooperation of OSiR Bytom, Active AS and the city's inhabitants, this year' s Autumn Cooper Test proved that regardless of age, weather or sporting plans - movement brings people together.

As NILS, we support initiatives that engage local communities and promote healthy lifestyles. The people of Bytom rose to the challenge, and we are proud to contribute to events that motivate people to move regularly - without getting uptight, but with a smile.

  • Including 33 children and young people and 17 people 55+
  • In total we covered 107.44 km
  • Average result in 12 minutes: 1732 m per person

 

Despite other events in the region, preparing for starts and returning from injuries, the turnout was great - and despite the rain. Respect!

  • Youngest participant (5 years old): 1148 m
  • Youngest participant (6 years old): 2150 m
  • Oldest participant (72 years): 1310 m
  • Oldest participant (80 years old): 1300 m
  • Top female participant (33 years old, pregnant): 2350 m
  • Best male (41 years old): 3565 m

 

What is the Cooper Test?

It's a simple test of fitness and endurance: you cover as much distance as possible in 12 minutes. The result is a number of metres - zero complications, maximum satisfaction. Each participant received a commemorative certificate with the distance recorded.
